Joseph Priestley 1733-1804 scientist, philosopher and theologian was Minister to the Gravel Pit Meeting here in 1793-1794
A block of flats was constructed in front of the wall to which the plaque is affixed, making it difficult to find. It is on the north wall of the former Aquascutum outlet, along a gated area used as a bin store.
